NPFL WEEK 10; REFEREES TOLD TO SUSTAIN TEMPO OF GOOD OFFICIATING

Members of the Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, taking part in the NPFL, especially those on duty for the Week 10 encounters scheduled for today have been urged to continue to imbibe the spirit of good officiating.

President of the Association, Otunba Tade Azeez in his weekly charge to referees informed that mediocrity has no place in the plans of the NRA this season adding that all match officials should handle their games in line with the accepted rules that are in tandem with the Laws of the Game.

While wishing the referees best of luck and journey mercies, Otunba Tade Azeez reminded them to have in mind the free and fair officiating watchword of NRA this season.

In the South South derby in Benin, a former household name in the Premier League referee cadre who is retired and serving as the Lagos State Referees Council Secretary, Dele Atoun will assess Katsina based FIFA Referee, Abdulahi Shuaibu assisted on the lines by Deji Winjobi and Anakwe Arinze of Lagos and Imo State councils respectively.

As Plateau United returns to Jos home against Kada FC, one of the best hands in the land and University of Calabar lecturer, Joseph Ogabor, a FIFA referee will be assisted on the lines by Aromona Moruf of Lagos and Sani Mohammed of Adamawa to control proceedings while Ondo State Sports Director, Chief Wande Fabuluje acts as the Referee Assessor.

In Uyo, the Akwa United vs Ifeanyi Uba clash has Dr Nasiru of Sokoto State referees council at the centre while Oluwaseun O of Niger and Aregbeshola Akinola of Ogun assist as Assistant Referee 1 and 2 respectively.

Newly FIFA badged referee from Kano council, Ahmad Rabiu under the supervision of a retired FIFA referee from Abia,Sir Charles Nwokocha as Assessor will have the assistance of Fizobe Samson and Eze Chinonso of FCT and Enugu councils for the South West derby; MFM vs Sunshine Stars.
